HOUSE FY2007 BUDGET RESOLUTION

 

Shortly before 1 a.m. on May 18, 2006, the House of Representatives adopted its FY2007 Budget Resolution on a vote of 218 to 210, after moderate Republicans secured an agreement with House leaders to increase funding for health and education programs.

JOINT HOUSE - SENATE BUDGET RESOLUTION

 

Despite both chambers having passed budget resolutions, a final agreement between the Senate and House appears out of reach because of significant differences in funding priorities. The House budget would allow more than $7 billion in extra domestic funding, but the money would have to be shifted from other accounts, in keeping with President Bush’s bottom-line limits on discretionary spending.   More Details >

 


 

FY2007 APPROPRIATIONS ALLOCATIONS

 

The annual congressional budget resolution is a nonbinding blueprint that sets the broad parameters for upcoming tax and appropriations bills. This year, with no ambitious new tax cuts or benefit curbs on the Republican agenda, the budget serves chiefly to set an overall limit on the eleven upcoming appropriations bills.    More Details >
