Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer (SCNT) Basics

FASEB Statements The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology opposed the use of somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) for the purposes of human reproductive cloning. However, FASEB feels that SCNT is an important technology for the creation of embryonic stem cells that can help us better understand basic biology and treat medical conditions.
