April 4, 2006: ASBMB, the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, hosted a symposium on Teaching the Science of Evolution Under the Threat of Alternative Views at the 2006 Annual Experimental Biology meeting in San Francisco. Visit the link to watch a streaming video of the event.
February 17, 2006: The Society for Developmental Biology, together with the National Academy of Sciences and the Carnegie Institution of Washington, co-organized two sessions addressing the issue of teaching science and evolution at the upcoming AAAS Annual Meeting in St. Louis, MO:
10:30 a.m. – Noon Symposium: Teaching and Learning about Science: Challenges and Opportunities Concerning Evolution

February 19, 2006: The American Association for the Advancement of Science hosted Evolution on the Front Line: An Event for St. Louis-area Teachers to give teachers a voice on the evolution issue and a way to tell the scientific community how to best support them.
